😥 Why Are AEW's Ratings Declining? -- WWE President Nick Khan Status Update

NEWS    WWE    AEW
AEW has hit a bit of a rough patch, with ratings taking a hit, especially among the 18-34 demographic. Dave Meltzer dug into the numbers and pointed out the fickle nature of this group, known for hopping on and off trends. Once a source of pride for stars like Chris Jericho, these ratings now show WWE gaining ground.

Meltzer also flagged a worrying drop in AEW Rampage viewership, suggesting the show is becoming less must-watch. With AEW in the middle of negotiations, these declining numbers could seriously weaken their bargaining power.
Wrestling fans were buzzing when WWE President Nick Khan put his remaining TKO shares up for sale. The speculation intensified until it was clarified that the stocks hit the market after UFC and WWE merged to form TKO Group Holdings. Despite the high value, Khan hadn't sold a single share initially, leaving fans wondering about his future with WWE.

But the mystery was put to rest when it was revealed that Khan had extended his contract until 2026, solidifying his position as WWE President.
Former TNA President Scott D'Amore might be plotting his comeback to the wrestling world. He recently filed to trademark "Maple Leaf Wrestling", the name of a classic Canadian promotion dating back to the 1930s. This move follows his headline-grabbing exit from TNA in February 2024, which was marked by heated disputes over budget cuts and pay.

The original "Maple Leaf Wrestling" featured legends like Ric Flair and Andre the Giant, sparking intrigue over which stars D'Amore's new venture could draw in. Looks like the Canadian wrestling scene is about to heat up!
The Undertaker weighed in on Cody Rhodes' potential heel turn during his reign as Undisputed WWE Champion on Six Feet Under. He noted Rhodes' natural heel traits but isn't sure when the timing will be right for a full turn. The Undertaker also sees an enduring underdog quality in Rhodes, making his quest to conquer the odds feel genuine.
Seth Rollins, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, has shown incredible resilience in 2024. Despite starting the year with a knee injury, he powered through to perform at WrestleMania 40. Now, he's taking a well-deserved break to heal up.

But there's more to the story: his contract, initially set to expire in June, has been extended with a lucrative multi-year deal. Insiders revealed that Rollins was eager to stay with WWE, and the company had no intention of letting him go. Although there was strong interest in Rollins outside WWE, no concrete offers emerged.
